Yankees Take Home 4-2 Win Over Daytona
|
Starting pitcher Nick Daniel was a major factor in the 4-2 Tampa Yankees triumph over the Daytona Tortugas. Richard Silverstone was credited with the save for Tampa, his 12th of the season. Tampa, now 22-34, holds down last place in the FSL North.
The Yankees got a big at-bat from right fielder Jim Duncan. For the game, Duncan was 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave Tampa a 3-2 lead.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Duncan.
