The Dunedin Blue Jays faced a tough opponent in Fort Myers pitcher Zózimo Oliveiras, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Hammond Stadium by a final score of 4-2. Oliveiras went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Jayson Redd earned the save for Dunedin, his 8th of the year. Dunedin, at 41-17, sits in first place in the FSL North.

Dunedin used the timely hitting of Chris Sam to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Blue Jays on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Credit where credit is due," said Sam, "this was a team win."
