At George M. Steinbrenner Field, the Tampa Yankees and Daytona Tortugas were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Boosted by the 3-hit performance of Rich Delgado the Daytona Tortugas defeated the Tampa Yankees, 6-2. Donovan Gordon nailed down his 3rd save.

The Tortugas got a big hit from first baseman Gabe Robson. Facing Tampa pitcher Danny Harless in the top of the fifth, Robson pounded a solo home run to left. His 1st home run of the season put the Tortugas ahead, 3-1.

"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Daytona manager Luis Portillo.

With the win, the Tortugas have a record of 34-25.
