Cardinals Win with Late Heroics
Behind a fine performance from Chad Alberhasky, the Palm Beach Cardinals knocked off the Brevard County Manatees in 10 innings, 5-1. Alberhasky was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Cardinals. Joe Stratton, now 2-3, was credited with the win in 1.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. The Cardinals saw their record improve to 38-22.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With two out, Alberhasky hit a fastball from Darrell van de Velde for a grand slam home run. The Cardinals, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Alberhasky said.
