Stone Crabs Stay Hot With 6-4 Win
|
Charlotte picked up a win at Charlotte Sports Park, toppling the Daytona Tortugas, 6-4. Pitcher Jason Lento was one of the reasons the Stone Crabs triumphed. Lento got the win, improving to 6-3. He allowed 5 hits and walked 0 over 8.1 innings. Lento allowed 4 runs. Josh Carr was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 9 of 10 save opportunities.
Alex Soto dealt the Tortugas a blow in the bottom of the first. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Charlotte leading 2-0, Soto hit a 1-0 slider for a 2-run single.
"This team's hitting on all cylinders," said Stone Crabs manager Tyler J. Alexander.
Charlotte is looking good at 47-13.
