A 3-RBI performance from first baseman John Pierce, who is tied for 5th in the FSL in bases on balls with 26, led the Clearwater Threshers to a win over the Jupiter Hammerheads, 8-6. Clearwater pitcher Daniel Flores got the win. He's now 1-6. Juan Cintora was tagged with the loss. At 17-43, the Threshers are currently last in the FSL North.

Clearwater needed the clutch hitting of Juan Diaz to notch the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Threshers on top, 8-6. For the game, Diaz had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

Diaz said afterward that he was glad to help his team win.
