Blue Jays Better Stone Crabs, 1-0
|
Leo Sandoval pitched a gem to lead Dunedin to victory over the Charlotte Stone Crabs, 1-0. Nathan Reynolds claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. His record stands at 3-0. With the win, the Blue Jays have a record of 29-32.
Joe Ray drove in one run for Dunedin. With no one out and the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Ray, who is tied for 8th in the FSL with a .393 on-base percentage, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Charlotte hurler Edwin Rodriguez, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Blue Jays a 1-0 lead.
Ray told a Dunedin Herald reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
