McKim, Cardinals Get 5-1 Win
|
The Palm Beach Cardinals downed the Dunedin Blue Jays, 5-1, at Roger Dean Stadium. Stellar pitching by Mike McKim had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 8th in the FSL in wins with 5, handcuffed his opponent all game. At 33-31, Palm Beach is in third place in the FSL South.
McKim overpowered the Blue Jays. The Palm Beach right-hander allowed 5 hits over 8 innings, while recording 11 punchouts. With the win, he is 5-7 on the season.
"Mike was the star," said Palm Beach manager Greg Cary.
