Pinero drives in 3 runs, Leads Miracle to Win
The Fort Myers Miracle defeated the Daytona Tortugas, 9-6, in part because of third baseman Edgar Pinero. Pinero went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Miracle. Colby Walker earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 3-0. The Miracle, at 43-22, have now won 5 straight.

Fort Myers needed the clutch hitting of Jose Duran to seal the deal. The right fielder swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Miracle on top, 9-6. For the game, Duran had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Pinero told the Fort Myers Gazette.
