Miracle Get Clonked by Tortugas, 5-2

Jackie Robinson Ballpark was the site for Florida State League action featuring the Fort Myers Miracle and Daytona Tortugas.
Steve Phillips was a major contributor to the 5-2 Daytona win over Fort Myers. The Tortugas right fielder was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Omero Ciola, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 4.1 innings. Tom McLemore picked up the save for Daytona, his 1st of the year.
Early in the game, Phillips had a 2-run home run for Daytona. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Tortugas on top, 2-0.
"I thought we played some darn good baseball," said Tortugas manager Luis Portillo.
The Tortugas improved their record to 37-30 with the win over Fort Myers.
