Lakeland picked up a win at Joker Marchant Stadium, bumping off the Fort Myers Miracle, 5-1. Pitcher Robby Crowell was a major reason the Flying Tigers emerged victorious. Crowell got the win, improving to 3-3. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. Lakeland is now 31-40, Fort Myers 47-24.

Mike O'Neal had a big 2-run triple for the Flying Tigers in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Lakeland leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a slider from Marcos Sanchez and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 6th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Flying Tigers ahead, 4-1.

O'Neal attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
