Deramos Helps Blue Jays Beat Stone Crabs, 4-2
|
Dunedin beat Charlotte in a rain-soaked ballgame.
Jose Deramos batted in 3 runs to lead Dunedin to a win over Charlotte. The final score was 4-2. Deramos chipped in 2 singles and 1 home run. Jeff Sadek got the win, improving to 5-4. He worked 7.1 innings, giving up no runs on 3 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2.
Victor Saucedo, who is tied for 4th in the FSL in triples with 6, had a direct impact on the outcome. Saucedo contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Dunedin up, 3-0.
Dunedin manager Manny Miranda was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
Dunedin is now 37-37, Charlotte 34-40.
