The first-place Dunedin Blue Jays took on the Daytona Tortugas in front of a spirited crowd.

Benefiting from Steve Jones's productive game, the Dunedin Blue Jays downed the Daytona Tortugas, 12-5. Jones went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Blue Jays. Dunedin pitcher R.J. Louvier got the win, upping his record to 6-2. Matt Trent got the loss.

Pablo Pizarro dealt the Tortugas a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and Dunedin leading 1-0, Pizarro, who is tied for 7th in the FSL in hits with 78, hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Jones said. "We did a good job of that today."

Dunedin is sitting pretty at 52-22.
