Charlotte Stone Crabs starter Jason Lento turned in a sterling performance against the Clearwater Threshers, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. The win elevated the Stone Crabs to 59-20.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Alex Soto? The Charlotte left fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Stone Crabs on top, 3-1. For the game, Soto had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"The want-to is there for our guys," said Clearwater manager Mike Kretzschmer. "We'll get this thing turned around."
