Manatees Lose, 5-3, as Stone Crabs Rally
Charlotte and Brevard County took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

Despite a great performance by Brevard County designated hitter Dan Campbell, the Charlotte Stone Crabs defeated the Manatees by the score of 5-3 at Space Coast Stadium. Campbell was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Stone Crabs go to 53-33, putting them first in the FSL South.

Charlotte used a timely hit from Jim Rogers to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Stone Crabs ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Rogers.
