Andy Bertrand, who leads the FSL in quality starts with 13, was locked in. The right-hander led the Daytona Tortugas to a 4-2 win against the Fort Myers Miracle at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. Bertrand picked up the win for Daytona, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 6-8. Andy Hert recorded the save for Daytona, his 12th of the season.
The Tortugas had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 4-2, Daytona, with one out. Fort Myers, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. Jon Blacker dug in at the plate, but on a first pitch fastball, he hit into a double play.
Daytona now sports a record of 46-40.
