Blue Jays Suffer 4-3 Setback
|
Bradenton beat Dunedin at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium, eking out a 4-3 win in 10 innings. The win was due in large part to left fielder Ramon Estrada. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The win was credited to 23-year old right-handed pitcher Ruben Jacome in relief. His record improves to 4-7. Eric Burnham took the loss. Jay Badeau earned the save for Bradenton, his 14th of the year.
Estrada had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 2-2 sinker from Tom Buckley, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Marauders a 4-2 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Estrada.
"This ballgame left me feeling kind of raw," said Dunedin manager Quinn Autrey.
With the win, Bradenton goes to 31-54, while the Blue Jays fall to 52-34.
