Yankees Lose to Clearwater, 5-1
|
Clearwater and Tampa got after it at Bright House Field.
Walter Lancaster was a major contributor to the 5-1 Clearwater win over Tampa. The Threshers left fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Clearwater, at 41-48, sits in 5th place in the FSL North.
Brian Dyer dealt the Yankees a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Clearwater leading 2-0, Dyer, who is tied for 3rd in the FSL in triples with 5, hit a first pitch sinker for a 2-run single.
"Feels good to get the job done," Dyer said after the game.
