The home crowd was treated to a thrilling, walk-off win.
Brevard County got a terrific performance from pitcher Bob Navarro, but it wasn't enough to beat the Jupiter Hammerheads. Jupiter won the Roger Dean Stadium contest, 3-2. Navarro threw 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. The Hammerheads, at 28-69, sit in last place in the FSL South.
Jupiter got a clutch hit from Carlos Mejia. The second baseman launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.
"I just tried to put the barrel on it," said Mejia.
