Knowlton Shuts Out St. Lucie, 7-0
|
In a remarkable performance, Clearwater Threshers starter Matt Knowlton beat the St. Lucie Mets, 7-0, in an impressive 4-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Threshers hurler finished with 7 strikeouts and no walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," St. Lucie manager Troy Nelson said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
