Clearwater picked up a win at Bright House Field, bumping off the St. Lucie Mets, 3-1. Pitcher James Costello was a major reason the Threshers emerged victorious. With the win, Clearwater goes to 50-55, while the Mets fall to 71-34.

Craig Wallace had a big 2-run double for the Threshers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Clearwater leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from D.J. Adams, who is tied for 5th in the FSL in innings pitched with 133.2, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 17th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Threshers ahead, 3-0.

"James was throwing with conviction," said Clearwater manager Luis Alvarez.
