Charlotte registered a win at Charlotte Sports Park by beating the Clearwater Threshers, 4-2. Pitcher Jay Paglia was one reason why the Stone Crabs triumphed. Earning his 13th save for Charlotte was Kevin Albert. The Stone Crabs now own a record of 53-53.

Had Cameron Coe not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Coe hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Stone Crabs.

Coe told a Charlotte Daily News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
