Bradenton Tumbles Again, Falls, 3-1, to Dunedin
|
Dunedin took on Bradenton in front of a lively crowd.
Juan de la Pena knocked in all 3 runs for the Dunedin Blue Jays, helping them beat the Bradenton Marauders, 3-1. Dunedin reliever Ricky Nazarian picked up the win, upping his record to 5-1. Darius Turner was saddled with the loss.
de la Pena contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Dunedin in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, de la Pena took a changeup from Darius Turner and stroked the home run to center. His 8th home run of the season allowed the Blue Jays to leap in front, 3-1.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Bradenton manager Jeremy Littlefield.
Dunedin is now 69-39, Bradenton 39-69.
