Blue Jays Fall to Flying Tigers Late
The Lakeland Flying Tigers stopped the Dunedin Blue Jays, 9-8, in 10 innings at Joker Marchant Stadium. The Flying Tigers got a big game from Ray Cohen, who was 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. The win went to Francisco Martinez in relief, making him now 3-0. Harry Bakken took the loss for Dunedin. Lakeland, at 68-41, holds down second place in the FSL North.

Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, 25-year old center fielder Mark Mackey had a chance to be the hero. Dunedin pitcher Harry Bakken wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Mackey hit a sacrifice fly. The Flying Tigers had themselves a thrilling win.

"We just never give in," said Cohen. "We think we've got an opportunity as long as we have an at-bat and some outs left."
