Cardinals 2-1 Winners Over Charlotte
|
Not everyone stuck through the 65-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
In a low-scoring tilt between the Palm Beach Cardinals and the Charlotte Stone Crabs, Joe Stratton, who is tied for 2nd in the FSL in wins with 13, was the difference-maker. The Palm Beach right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. With the win, the Cardinals have a record of 66-43.
Earl Glenn cracked a home run off Nick Bell in the bottom of the second. His 2-run blast put the Cardinals on top, 2-1. In all, Glenn had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 2.
"Joe pitched a very professional game from start to finish," said Palm Beach manager Greg Cary.
