Charlotte registered a win at Charlotte Sports Park by beating the Palm Beach Cardinals, 1-0. Pitcher Darius Thompson was one reason why the Stone Crabs triumphed. The Stone Crabs have an impressive 69-41 record.

Charlotte got a clutch hit from Cameron Coe. The pinch hitter launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.

"Darius pitched one heck of a game for us," said Charlotte manager Victor Beltran.
