The St. Lucie Mets picked up a win at Roger Dean Stadium, knocking off the Palm Beach Cardinals, 4-3. On the mound for St. Lucie was left-hander Jeff Dufford, who played a pivotal role in the win. The first-place Mets sport a record of 82-29.

St. Lucie used a timely hit from Eric Spring to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Mets ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"This was a good win," said Dufford.
