Binghamton beat Richmond at The Diamond, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to first baseman Eddie Herrera. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. With the win, Binghamton boosts its record to 11-5.

Had Herrera not come through in the top of the ninth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Herrera hit a run-scoring single. The Mets took the lead, 5-4, and never looked back.

Richmond manager Fernando Melendez, after yet another defeat, said: "We need to recalibrate."
