Mets Knock Off Flying Tigers at Tradition Field
The St. Lucie Mets faced a tough opponent in Lakeland pitcher Matt Welcher, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Tradition Field by a final score of 10-4. Welcher went 5 innings and allowed no runs. St. Lucie is now 86-29, while Lakeland is 72-43.

Al Casillas had a critical at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the sixth for St. Lucie. He came through with a 2-run single to put St. Lucie in front, 2-1.

"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Casillas.
