Stone Crabs Lose 5-2 Decision to Brevard County
|
The Brevard County Manatees and Charlotte Stone Crabs completed their game despite the inclement weather.
The Brevard County Manatees picked up a win at Charlotte Sports Park, knocking off the Charlotte Stone Crabs, 5-2. Starting pitcher Andy McDougall played a key role in the triumph. The first-place Manatees improved to 67-48.
Tony Miranda came through with a big-time hit for Brevard County. The pinch hitter smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 5-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Nice to keep our winning streak intact," said Miranda.
