Victory Over Yankees Takes Palm Beach to 74-41
Jon Brenke, who is tied for 9th in the FSL with a 2.65 ERA, was locked in. The right-hander led the Palm Beach Cardinals to a 6-4 win against the Tampa Yankees at Roger Dean Stadium. Brenke yielded 4 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 4, and struck out 4. His record improves to 12-7. Jonathan Saiz was credited with the save for Palm Beach, his 15th of the season.

The Yankees had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Cardinals going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old center fielder Efrain Castro came to the plate.
