Stone Crabs Score Late, Upend Manatees, 3-2

Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Charlotte Stone Crabs got the win.
The Brevard County Manatees got a sterling performance from pitcher Julio Vigil, but the Charlotte Stone Crabs still prevailed, 3-2. Vigil threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Jim Unknown snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits over 1.1 innings. He's now 1-0 on the season.
Matt Dobson hit a 2-run double off Jason Dargay in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Stone Crabs in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Dobson had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"Not enough offensively in a winnable game," said losing manager Rick Mitchell.
The win gives the Stone Crabs a record of 37-79.
