Miracle in Free-Fall, Lose, 4-1
|
The Fort Myers Miracle got a superb performance from pitcher Andres Rubio, but the Dunedin Blue Jays still won the game, 4-1. Rubio threw 6.1 innings allowing 4 runs. Wayne Lambert collected his 11th save. Dunedin has 4 straight wins, Fort Myers 8 straight losses.
Jason Gray had a direct impact on the outcome. Gray contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Dunedin up, 2-1.
"We're not winning games right now," said Fort Myers manager Chris Stanley. "But I'm not going to denigrate the effort by the guys."
