Blue Jays Down Cardinals, 4-0
|
The Dunedin Blue Jays topped the Palm Beach Cardinals by the score of 4-0, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Bill Curtis. Curtis went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Blue Jays on the day. Dunedin reliever Willie Campos picked up the win, upping his record to 5-0. Mike DeLuke took the loss. The first-place Blue Jays are 81-35.
Early in the game, Curtis had a 2-run home run for Dunedin. It was his 18th home run of the season and put the Blue Jays on top, 2-0.
Curtis attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
