Threshers Reel In 4-2 Win
|
The Clearwater Threshers picked up a win at Calvin Falwell Field, dropping the Bradenton Marauders, 4-2. Miguel Rivera was the difference-maker. Rivera, now 1-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. The setback makes Bradenton 53-65.
Craig Wallace, who is tied for 3rd in the FSL in triples with 6, had a direct impact on the outcome. Wallace contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Clearwater up, 4-2.
"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Threshers manager Luis Alvarez.
