Marauders Take Tight Tangle
|
Dunedin right fielder Paul Sirois had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-6, to Bradenton in 11 innings. Sirois was 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Bradenton reliever Tyler Medley picked up the win, raising his record to 2-2. Victor Fonseca was tagged with the loss. Bradenton, at 57-65, sits in 4th place in the FSL South.
Mario Arevalo was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for Bradenton. The 22-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the 11th. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Victor Fonseca. It was his 19th RBI of the season.
"Took some scratching and clawing," said Arevalo. "But we got it done."
