Hays Gives Jupiter Goose Eggs
|
Jupiter were shut out, 4-0, by Bryant Hays and the Daytona Tortugas at Roger Dean Stadium. The Hammerheads offered little resistance to Hays, who stopped them on 3 hits, fanned 4 and walked 0.
"It just felt right today," the right-handed Hays told reporters after the win. "Even with the rain, it didn't throw me off my rhythm."
Hays has a 11-7 season record so far. In 22 starts, he has fanned 131 batters in 150 innings with a 2.94 ERA.
