Yankees Rally Late to Clip Clearwater
Clearwater center fielder Jesus Ceniceros was sensational. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Tampa beat the Threshers, 6-5. Matthew Berning earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. He upped his record to 10-7. The Yankees go to 44-80, putting them last in the FSL North.

Joe Cunningham hit a 2-run double off David Adams in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Yankees in front, 6-5. In addition to the double, Cunningham had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.

"Whenever I help the team," said Cunningham, "it sort of justifies my place on the roster."
