The St. Lucie Mets trumped the Jupiter Hammerheads, 8-6, at Roger Dean Stadium. St. Lucie left fielder Mike Sigal was terrific. He went 1-3 with 2 walks. He scored 2 times. Justin Ammons closed the door for St. Lucie, picking up his 3rd save of the year. The first-place Mets have a record of 93-31.

In the top of the third, with the game still scoreless, Sigal hit a run-scoring single to put his team in the lead.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Sigal told the St. Lucie Today. "You win just by scoring more runs."
