Cardinals Notch 4-3 Win Versus Flying Tigers
|
The Lakeland Flying Tigers got a sterling performance from pitcher Pat Blair, but the Palm Beach Cardinals still prevailed, 4-3. Blair threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. David Pettis notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits in 4 innings. His record now sits at 3-2. Earning his 11th save for Palm Beach was Enrique Mendez.
Center Fielder Alberto Loredo made an impact for Palm Beach, when he swatted a 2-run triple off Pat Blair in the bottom of the third. For the contest, Loredo was 2 for 4 with a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Lakeland manager Meka Fabiano.
