Tampa Yankees starter Justin Pigott turned in a top-notch performance against the Clearwater Threshers at George M. Steinbrenner Field. The result was a win for the Yankees, 3-2. Jesus Ferrer got the save, the 3rd for him this season. Tampa, at 38-88, sits in last place in the FSL North.

Jake Casey aided the Tampa cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman went 1-3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
