Hammerheads Suffer 5-3 Loss to Stone Crabs
The Charlotte Stone Crabs picked up a win at Charlotte Sports Park, taking down the Jupiter Hammerheads, 5-3. Starting pitcher Jason Lento was a big reason why. Lento went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 3, and struck out 9. His record improves to 14-7. Charlotte, at 87-41, holds down second place in the FSL South.

The Hammerheads had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Stone Crabs going into the bottom of the second inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old second baseman Zach Frederick came to the plate. Frederick hit a 2-run double on a 0-1 fastball from Jupiter hurler Josh Clements. It was Frederick's 6th double of the year.

"Good win for us," said Frederick. "Now we'll focus on the next one."
