The Palm Beach Cardinals picked up a win at Roger Dean Stadium, knocking off the Charlotte Stone Crabs, 6-2. Starting pitcher Breyln Richards was a big reason why. Richards, the winner, moves to 12-4. He threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 7 walks.

Juan Morales cracked a home run off Joey Crawford in the bottom of the third. His solo blast put the Cardinals on top, 1-0. In all, Morales had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

"When I go out there," said Richards, "the last thing I want to do is let my teammates down."

By defeating Charlotte, the first-place Cardinals improved to 82-47.
