Mets Pull Off Thrilling 2-1 Win in Extras
Palm Beach got a big-time effort from pitcher Zach Gaston, but it wasn't enough to keep the St. Lucie Mets from winning the game, 2-1. Gaston threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The winner was Justin Ammons in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Raul Cirilo took the loss. St. Lucie is now 97-32, Palm Beach 57-72.

The Mets relied on right fielder Mike Sigal for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

In postgame remarks, Sigal said: "To all who've been doubting my effort -- I hope they saw this game."
