Charlotte Sports Park was the site for Florida State League action featuring the Clearwater Threshers and Charlotte Stone Crabs.

The Charlotte Stone Crabs topped the Clearwater Threshers, 12-1, with youngster Matt Flagg playing a key role. Flagg was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Stone Crabs in the win. Today's win puts Charlotte at 88-41, while Clearwater falls to 40-89.

With Charlotte leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Flagg hit a sinker from Mario Velasco for a 2-run home run. It was his 15th home run of the season and put the Stone Crabs ahead, 3-0.

"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Flagg.
