The Manatees grabbed a win, 2-1, at Space Coast Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Palm Beach pitcher Jason Romanchik. Romanchik went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Pablo Iglesias, credited with the win in relief, is now 5-3. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The loss makes Palm Beach 69-61.

Mike Paskewitz took Palm Beach hurler Adam McNamara deep in the bottom of the eighth. His solo home run put the Manatees on top, 2-1. In all, Paskewitz had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.

"Tough loss," said Palm Beach manager Greg Cary. "This one will sting for a while."
