Hammerheads Lose Again, 7-1, to Mets
|
The St. Lucie Mets defeated the Jupiter Hammerheads, 7-1, in Florida State League action at Roger Dean Stadium. St. Lucie pitcher Billy Galindo had a standout performance. The save went to Jesus Alvarado, number 4 for him. The Hammerheads, at 46-87, have lost 7 in a row.
The Mets got a big at-bat from second baseman David Hollomon. For the game, Hollomon went 1 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave St. Lucie a 2-0 lead.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Galindo told the St. Lucie Today.
