Blue Jays Knock Off Hammerheads at Roger Dean Stadium

The Dunedin Blue Jays beat the Jupiter Hammerheads, 5-1. Dunedin pitcher and Catonsville, Maryland, native Josh Montgomery led the way. Montgomery went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 5-4. Dunedin has a record of 95-40, placing them first in the FSL North.
Dunedin used the timely hitting of Dave Tolbert to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Blue Jays ahead, 4-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Tolbert said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
