State College Spikes starter Wayne Pitts turned in an exceptional performance against the Mahoning Valley Scrappers at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, resulting in a State College win, 3-2. The win gives State College a record of 2-2.

Antonio Limardo helped out the State College cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 3 with a hit by pitch.

Limardo called the win "good for the psyche of this team."
