The Connecticut Tigers grabbed a win, 10-8, over the Vermont Lake Monsters in 11 innings at Centennial Field. Connecticut right fielder Don Pope went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Earning his 1st save of the year was Isidro Ortiz. Connecticut sits at 2-3.

The game was all tied up in the top of the 11th, until Pope delivered big-time for Connecticut, stroking a dramatic 3-run home run off Leo Fernandez. The game-changing hit put the Tigers on top, 10-7.
