Kyle Gruhlke brought his A-game to help Dayton defeat the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 3-0. Jonathan Godoy earned the save for Dayton, his 2nd of the year. The loss drops Bowling Green to 0-3.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Jonathan Godoy didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Bowling Green trailing 2-0, Godoy retired Adam Druen to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Godoy, with a wink.
