Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Fort Wayne TinCaps and Great Lakes Loons.

The Fort Wayne TinCaps eked out a 3-2 win versus the Great Lakes Loons at Parkview Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Ian Lancaster. He was terrific. The defeat makes Great Lakes 2-2.

The Loons had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the TinCaps going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old catcher Josh Long came to the plate. Long hit a 2-run double on a 1-1 fastball from Great Lakes hurler Joe Lee. It was Long's 1st double of the year.

"We hit some balls hard and didn't get rewarded for it," said Great Lakes manager Ivan Cruz.
