The Peoria Chiefs knocked off the Quad Cities River Bandits, 7-5, at Modern Woodmen Park. Terry Beckett hit 3 singles and 1 double, while driving in 3 runs. Peoria used the timely hitting of Brandon Wiggs to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Chiefs on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
