LumberKings Win, 5-4, in Extra Frames
|
Despite a fine performance by shortstop Chris Knable, the Kane County Cougars lost to the Clinton LumberKings, 5-4. Knable went 2-5 with 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. With the win, Clinton climbs to 2-5.
The LumberKings relied on right fielder Elijah Bonner for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring double to seal the deal.
"This joint was rocking," said Bonner.
